Hi,
I am trying to transfer some files back and forth to my server and need help.

I am able to log in o.k. and found the right directory where the file is located. I am just trying to add new links to my link page. But I understand from my designer that a table is supposed to open up. I dont' see a table, I see a page, similar to the page that I have on my website. He said to save the file to my desktop and work from there. I did save it, but then I look at it and I don't see any html code.

Where did I go wrong? Please help.

Do you recall how you saved it, what type of file extension did you save it under?

Could that be a problem w/Macs?

Just thinking out loud.

No, I finally heard from the designer. He tells me that I need a tool like BBedit or an html editor. I found a bbedit demo version on line, just downloaded it and now it doesnt work. Now what?

Hmmmmm. Maybe you might want to consider posting in the Mac forum with a synopsis of your parts of this thread and see if they can help you. You don't seem to be getting much of a response in this one.

Thanks! I did it, well, I found a demo version of bbedit, downloaded it and got most of my links on. Now, I don't know how to upload the banners. Do you?

Congrats! Making headway, eh?

No. I never fussed with them. But it really shouldn't be much more than uploading any code to any file to my way of thinking.

Tell us: Is there anything peculiar about your host server? Something that may be out of the ordinary? Without dropping a url, that is.

Hang in there, the light at the end of the tunnel is not an oncoming train. :)

As for my host server, well nothing unusual no it's my webdesigner..but we are parting company. I feel exhausted after today , but I did it, I have someone new to help me in about a month, so in the meanwhile, I wil keep reading your forums and books and try to learn some more!

thanks for everything and atleast now I am smiling:)
