User view of invisible frames

How do users perceive invisible frames? Do they like them, care about them? The only problem I see is that if they try to bookmark a subpage it won't work and also the address bar URL will never change. Are these reasons that a user might not come to your page or stay there from a usability perspective?

It depends on the page .. Certain pages can't be bookmarked anyway (such as if they require login), and are therefore "safer" to put within a frameset.

Otherwise, it totally depends on your audience, how used they are to frames, and how important it would be to them to be able to bookmark a sub page.
