AOL Browser

whats the latest version

Does anybody have any idea what browser most AOL users are using now? Is it 6.0? Is the AOL 6.0 browser the same as Netscape 6.0? That's what I've heard, and I just want to verify this...

AOL 6 and 7 are very common, and AOL 8 is the newest. They are all based on Explorer, not Netscape, with the exception being AOL 8 for Macintosh. That one is a Netscape/Gecko engine.

AOL has been testing Netscape based browsers in their Compuserve division for a while, and as soon as they are sure it is ready for prime time, we'll see it in the mainstream AOL for Windows product.

I've been having fits trying to install AOL 8 in our office. So far three different machines have refused the install in one fashion or another.
