I have valid XHTML 1.0 strict pages that render fine in Opera 6 Mozilla 1.0 and IE6. I thought I'd better check a cursor: hand hack so I deleted IE6 and installed IE5.0 (Win98)
Cursor is fine but it seems that I can't get IE5.0 out of quirks mode. All the boxes are improperly sized. Can IE5.0 render in strict mode? If not, what's the best method to get around this?
Thanks victor. I didn't know whether it could go into a strict mode, I know now it can't. I guess my options are to sniff it and leave the valid CSS intact or use a hack in the styles.

Just thinking, how does IE5.5 handle strict doctypes?
