Looks like they got the memory footprint down nicely. They are saying that they will be able to get the Linux version down to 7-8 MB and the Windows version down to 5MB

Performance improvements

0.5 is certainly our fastest release ever. You might especially notice a boost if you have a blank page (about:blank) as your homepage (UPDATE: We're talking about startup and new window performance. If you thought we were talking about the time it takes to render a blank page, go out back and shoot yourself; you're a detriment to human society.)

LOL. I wonder what kind of feedback caused that update!

Also, I note multiple tabbed Home Pages are now possible - I like that idea.

With the preferences bar extension installed this browser now approaches Opera in the 'SEO Useability' stakes. The Advanced Tabs extension is pretty useful too.

Fonts, colours, Javascript, Popups and proxies can all be turned on or off from a toolbar.

Phoenix has been my default browser for the last few weeks and this update just makes it better.
