Running browsers full screen

How do they compare?

Hi all,

I've just discovered that I can run Opera full screen and, using the keyboard shortcuts can navigate with ease ;)

Ctrl+Space -> Home (WebmasterWorld Active topics)
Ctrl+Left/Right Arrows -> Switch between screens
Alt+Arrows -> Back/Forward

Great for me as I don't have to look at the advertising and I can whack the font size up without losing tons of space...

Anyone else browse full screen? -- Which browser and how does it compare?

Nick

I usually browse with the window maximized, but for some reason going that extra step to full-screen drives me batty. I haven't figured out why yet.

Honestly, I like IE's full screen mode better. (Opera 3.62, was excellent too). The biggest problem for me, is the loss of the scroll wheel in full screen mode (logitech - goes top of page to bottom of page).

Since first reading your post I've done a little test and began to do some browsing at full screen - both under IE and Opera.

I have to echo dingman in that I just don't like it! There is little rational - you have more room etc., but I suppose I'm used to having buttons to navigate with (I seem irrational in my use of buttons over keyboard and right-click options - although I use Opera's mouse movement navigation fully).

I usually browse with IE at 75% of my screen size (my resolution is 1152 x 846), but I preferred IE's full screen to Opera's.
