What are the current browsers of preference?

In the U.S., it has been the mother of all surrenders. But Netscape seems to be up and coming. At least now they actually have a viable alternative. But American users seem to be lazy at updating their browsers or changing them altogether.

What is the situation in Europe?

I am from Québec, consider me halfway between Europe and US. :)

I use Opera as default browser on my PC and Mozilla for my Mac. I use other browsers for quality control and IE 5.5 for Page Rank control.

I use IE6 and most people I know that are not that computer savvy do as well. It´s probably just the people in Norway that use Opera.

The computers at the computer lab at Sheffield University´s law department still use Netscape Gold though. Booting a computer there takes about two minutes. They crash at least every hour. It´s great fun writing an essay there.
