OK I love these trick new dhtml drop downs that I am testing out for a couple of sites. The benefits are clean design with the ability to let the visitor drill deep!

Problem is that I am noticing some variation in speed between machines in my office. This is because the client's browser is rendering each item....

Is anybody using dhtml menus to render over 100 outbound links off of a page? Any slowdown problems? Maybe my code is lousy!?

100 outbound links? I see slowdown with like 20 links... I guess it depends on the complexity of the menu...

yikes! I guess that's my problem - I have over 15,000 items on both of these sites, I was trying to shortcut the drill down process and the dhtml seemed like a good solution.

funny the browser doesn't cache the things, every time you navigate around its the same delay &$&$@%$#@
