Change titlebar/task's icon

Partially related to favicon technology...

I've been able to use favicon technology to replace the default web browser icon in the address bar/favorites/quick launch/desktop shortucts area using favicon technology but my question is this:

Is it possible to take it to the next level by changing the web browser's titlebar icon/task icon? How would one go about doing this?

I'm pretty sure HTA (hyper text application) technology allows for this, but can it be done outside of the scope of HTA?

Thanks.

I once downloaded "skin" software for IE, from an ISP which replaced the taskbar icon with their own. Because of other issues, I uninstalled their software but the icon remained because it overwrote the IE icon file in the registry. I had to change it back from there.

Having said this, my impression would be that the user would need to accept a download in order to accomplish what you want.

...AND THEN it would change their entire browsing experience, not just for 1 page I suppose...not acceptable.

Thanks!
