Are there any postings on wmw for unique website design tips to make a site more memorable or user friendly? Such as one click order settings, unique designs, rollovers, etc.

This is probably not the answer you're looking for, but when I need inspiration, I surf the web or buy a book. However, books and magazines seem more inspiring to me somehow.

But you don't even have to buy a book; just spend a couple hours in a big bookstore browsing the design magazines and design books, chances are you will feel invigorated and inspired by their examples and tips.

martinibuster, I often do the same. Bookstores can be a great source inspiration... browse with an open mind! ;)

By the way, don't restrict yourself to the computer book section... Spend some time browsing in the arts & design sections as well.

As far as discovering individual useful features to include, try browsing in the area that best fits the content of your website. Look for "talked about" features there, find the "hot buttons," and then figure out how you can meet the demand.

You might also find some good advice in these recent Webmaster World threads:

Of course there is always the other approach - unique content!

Nothing makes a visitor more likely to come back than finding what he was looking for the first time.

each one of my products has 300-600 words in each description as well as an abundance of health and training articles.
