Strange link problem

Something's changing my links?

Hi Everyone,

One of my customers has emailed me saying that no links are appearing when browsing one of my websites.

He saved the page as he saw it and emailed it to me, and when looking at the page source, I noticed that his browser had somehow changed the links from:

my link

To this:

Which is obviously commenting out the link.
Does anyone have *any* idea why this may be happening? He's up to date with his virus software and has run a full scan, and he's also checked for scumware and he is clean.

He's using IE6 if that helps.

Any and all thoughts are most certainly welcome as I simply cannot think of anything that could be causing this.

Please help!

Its not a affiliate link is it? certain ad blockers are known to remove text links.

Nope, no affiliate links.
It's just a table with about 20 links to other pages within the same site.

I'm at a total loss - the guy who is seeing the problem on his computer said it dosent happen on other sites.

I've told him that he's the only person who's reported this, and it's strange that it's commenting out the links. Not all links on the page are affected though so it just dosent make sense.

Any other ideas anyone??

It must be a piece of software he has installed on his machine. Maybe something like a links page/popups stopper.

JuDDer,

How about putting the url in your profile if it's not an adult site or against the TOS.

Thanks for the tips everyone.

I've told him it must be something his end as nobody else has had this problem.

I rather not add the site to my profile as it's recovering from a Google PR0, now on an alternative domain, and I really don't want to take any chances with it!

If anyone else has any ideas or names of software that could be causing this, please let me know so I can keep my customer informed.
