Don't do a windows reinstall

without uninstalling MSIE6 first

I think this is the correct forum. This was published on M$ on January 16. It happened to me -

Effects if you don't do this? I was reinstalling a friend's copy of ME. Now you cannot install ANY security updates or anything associated with IE6. - you're stuck with what came on ME.

I'll go back to his house and apply the MS stuff - then see if I can install IE6 again.
