I have a 2nd domain name redirected (by the registrar)to a website and when I go to the order form I get an Internet Explorer script error message.

What puzzles me is that when I go to the actual URL I don't get the error message.

Any ideas?

It isn't a secure form, by the way.

What is the exact error, namniboose? And what version of IE?

Sounds like it might be an IE6 privacy settings thing.

Hi tedster,

The error box says:

Line: 3
Char: 112
Error: Permission Denied
Code: 0

Followed by:

Line: 675
Char: 21
Error: Permission Denied
Code: 0

Does this mean line 3, character 12 of the body code?

It only does this when I'm in an AOL browser.

Thanks for taking the time.

I could be that the host is using a script of some sort to perform the redirect. The errors might come from that script.

Sounds like a JavaScript error. I think your registrar will need to fix that. But you should let them know... Because it is unlikely they tested that code with AOL.

When I release technology I don't care about AOL technology interference. If AOL runs their company with proprietary technology then their customers have the right to experience the faults of that approach.

That is interesting Lisa.

I have a problem with my PayPal shopping cart when using AOL and the error only happens when I go to the order form page that has the shopping cart on it (which isn't secure) and only with the address that is redirected.

Could it be because the shopping cart is associated with the address of the actual url rather than the redirected url? My brain is a but rusty this morning (too much in the water over the week-end!) but it is trying to make some connection here.

This will probably spur me on to find an alternative to PayPal that is not too expensive.
