I m really confused from that internet stuf.

For example different server applications can be recognised.

MySQL
Perl
ASP

How do browsers like Internet Explorer read MySQL databases Perl etc?

I mean is it possible to have access to Perl and MySQL databases just simply using HTML or Java script???

Thanks for your help

Welcome to WebmasterWorld New_Alex.

The scripts take the information and turn it into a format that the browser can read (usually html).

Read through the Server Side Scripting [webmasterworld.com] forum to learn more.

Alex,
I recommend picking up a Server Side programming 101 book at your local book store. That will give you a chance to browse through them and figure out what is the best one for you.

I remember the joy I had just learning about this stuff... Unfortunately there were not many books back then. I see all the good books now days and I am jealous of the newbies now.

Thank you very much.

I am really confused you know. It is happiness to learn of course but sometimes the life job is a pressure on us and destroys the real hapiness.

Anyway I ll try the book.

Thanks
Alex
