why don't displays file.tif, .ipg on IE6.0 ?

i use file *.tif in <body background="bgg.tif" and i use IE6.0 run file .html .Background can not displays in my browsers but can display in IE5

Try coverting it to JPEG if you can.

You don't know why you should convert to JPEG or why it would make a difference?

Sounds like an association problem. What happens when you are in a file manager and double click a tiff file?
