Does anyone know of a simulator to test on IE for Mac?

My boss at the web site company I work for wants me to test his web sites in Internet Explorer.

I'm looking for a program or a link to a place that will simulate mac machines so I can test my sites on a mac internet explorer.

Welcome to WebmasterWorld mankatorules!

The best way is to run Windows as a virtual machine within OSX using a program such as Virtual PC:

[apple.com...]
[microsoft.com...]

No, I am running on a **PC** and I want to view my bosses company's web site as it would appear on the ***Mac for Internet Explorer***

Although you can actually interact with them I have used browsercam.com (think I got this addy from here awhile back so I assume it's o.k. to post it) to great effect in the past.

Sorry I got it the wrong way round. :) It's actually much harder the other way round, there aren't really any products around apart from the Pear PC project, which is an emulation program for the PowerPC architecture (used by Apple until recently):

[pearpc.sourceforge.net...]

Only at version 0.4 though.

IE for Mac is less of a problem these days as it is not installed on modern Macs, support has been discontinued by Microsoft. Most Mac users favor Safari, and it is that browser which is most important for Mac testing.

The most reliable way remains the purchase of a low-end or second-hand Mac running a recent version of OSX.

Mac IE = Dead

Do you know your traffics MAC IE browser share? Is it insanely high (half a percent or more)?

If not, forget it. It's more dead then the star that went supernova before ours.

Well, if you don't want to assume the world as you perceive it as the only reality . . . .

mankatorules, (welcome aboard!) there are indeed a lot of Macs out there that have not moved to OS X and have IE still running, I have one of them specifically for the purpose you need. The deal is if your boss wants to review the site on Mac browsers, he's going to have to buy you a Mac, period. Even if it's OS X, (which I'm pretty sure IE for Mac won't run on, it only runs on OS 9) it should still be available for cross browser testing.

Yes you can get and install emulators, but they are just that, emulators. Perhaps it will suffice for your purpose but the point is if your boss wants this he should fork up the dinero to get you a Mac.
