When I copy text from MS Word to html files, after I upload the file, the double quotation mark from MS Word messes up. I have to replace them with ". How can I fix this problem?

Thanks in advance.

This probably has to do with Word's autoformatting of quotes to smart quotes.

What you'll need to do is turn it off.

In Word 2003, this is how you do it:

Go to Tools > AutoCorrect Options > AutoFormat As You Type > Uncheck "Straight wuotes" with "smart quotes"

and then do the same with the AutoFormat tab.

Yeah, you get a? instead of the quote. It's other characters too, the curved ' and even some spacial characters. Globally replace those with plain text equivalents or HTML entities.
