Google search for my issue returned no helpful solutions, but I did find this site during my efforts.

The problem:
When visiting <snip> and my internet banking web site my monitor (both - dual monitors) goes completly black during the loading in the browser.

Mouse icon is still visible in either monitor.

Unable to ctr+alt+del or alt+f4 to close window.

Reset pc to continue

System Changes prior to issue:
ATI Radeon 9800 PRO died - removed ATI drivers
replaced with Nvidia 6200V+ and drivers from CD

Solutions tried:
Single monitor mode used - still same issue
Dual monitor in Clone mode - still same issue
Tried IE6+ and Firefox

Current System:
Intel 3gb Prescott
756mb ddr 400
nvidia 6200V+
120gb seagate 8mb 7200rpm IDE
250gb western digital 8mb 7200rpm IDE
Windows xp sp2

Any help or suggestions would be helpful.

F.Y.I.
I intend a format for main HDD in hope this solves issue however any other pointers would be helpful incase format derives same result.

I'd suggest looking at the card manufacturer's site for the latest drivers -- The CDs are almost always out-of-date.

Advanced technology issues usually resolved with simplicity! True again.

Uninstalled drivers, reverted to standard OS drivers and issue resolved... Updated new drivers and still issue resolved.

Thanks for advice, seems I was convinced the issue was deeper than it's face value.
