PNG support in IE

Is it me or has IE been lacking full PNG support since 1999?

Right - IE has been well behind (and as an aside, their progressive jpg support has been wrong as well!)

IE7 promises to give full PNG support for the first time, with alpha channel transparency -- it's been there in all the betas

IE/Win, yes ... it has never had full PNG support. IE/Mac supports it, though.
