Hi all

I am not sure if this is the right place for my query but I was unable to spot a better one.

I need to backup on my hard disk all emails located in one of my email services because I want to empty inbox/outbox and make space for new emails. Is there a way to do this?

Also, I would like to save my internet bookmarks websites on my hard disk. I use firefox. Any help much apperciated.

Thanks a lot.

What email client are you using? Thunderbird?

For your bookmarks, you can export bookmarks from Firefox by going to Bookmarks > Manage Bookmarks > (in the Manage Bookmarks Window) File > Export

For your bookmarks if IE/Win XP you can go to

c:\Documents and Settings\You Profile Name\

it's the file with a star next to it called Favorites

Thanks for your reply. I think you have overlooked my first question about backing up old emmails. I use yahoo and hotmail. I dont think drag and drop works.

Yahoo have a "mail plus" service (that you have to pay for). This gives you 2G of space and also gives you POP access to your mail. You could set up your email client e.g. Outlook and it would grab all of your emails and download them to your PC - deleting them off the server if you set up the Outlook client like that.
