Hi,

I have a query that I just cant figure out and I hope that someone can assit me. I want to use flash in my error documents on my server. The problem I am having is that the flash files dont seem to appear in some browsers. They work in opera but not in IE or Firefox and I a stumped as to why.

I contacted my server and they have tried everything possible through PLESK even setting it directly up from IIS to see if its a plesk problem? However they cant seem to figure it out and believe it to be a programming problem or IIS.

Flash is definately installed on IE and Firefox (i use flash all the time)?

Anyone have any ideas as to what i can try?

Welcome to WebmasterWorld! [WebmasterWorld.com]

Can you get it to work in a non-error document?
How are you including the flash file?

Firstly, thanks for the reply!

Yes i can get it to work in normal files, but it wont let me dont it in error_docs for some reason.

I am simply "inserting a flash media" file (*.swf) into a *.html file and centering it in DREAMWEAVER. I am using flash 8 and dreamweaver 8.

The flash files work perfect as they work in opera but not in IE or FIREFOX?

Any ideas?

That does not necessarily indicate anything :)

Are you using the <embed> or <object> tag, or both?
