Do we have anyone onboard who recognises the following trojan and knows how to remove it?

Symptoms With IE:

1) When clicking on a search engine result, it will take you to sites different than the one you clicked on. These subsituted sites are often full of Adsense for drugs, porn, mortgage, gambling, loans, weight loss and dating services.

2) If you type a URL into the address bar, or open a site from Favorites, the Adsense advertising on the page is replaced by ads for drugs, porn, mortgage gambling etc etc as above

Symptoms With Firefox:

The page hijacking does not happen, but Google's Adsense ads are being replaced the same as with IE in 2) above

The symptoms are intermittent, they do not happen every time.

Actions Taken:

I have run Trend Microsystems, AdAware, Spybot Search & Destroy, Spybot Blaster, XoftSpy and Hijack This (with manual checks of BHO's and Start-up entries)..... all to no avail, they are all reporting a clean machine.

Also need help because I have two high threat spyware (Surfsidekick and another application in local settings) in my laptop.

The hic! is that I do not have Internet at home!
I have installed softspy and adaware but both require a connection to remove files...

I have downloaded Spybots yesterday, same thing... It can't scan without doing an update via the web! Grrrr!

Webtrix, from memory, I run Windows XP HOME Service Pack 2.

I guess I should install Internet at home, nonetheless I live in a very remote place and downloaded huge files can take ages!
Could you tell me which one of the three soft I mentionned above is the most efficient with a minimum downloading?
