Can anybody suggest an email software that allows the "Group" contacts to be contained within the Group section only eg. the contacts do NOT show in the main list of contacts, but only within the designated group?

As far as I know, Outlook Express does not have this facility.

Did I make that clear? Hope so!

I just checked my Thunderbird and it doesn't seem to be what you want.

Thanks for checking Bunpaw.

I am sure there must be some email software that has this functionality - and if not, then I will make a suggestion to Mr.Gates!

Anyone have any other suggestions?

Thanks.

My email client at work is Novell GroupWise and it can be set to work as you you want it - however I don't believe GroupWise is available or even suitable outside of a large corporate setting. I don't know of any other email client that does this unfortunately.

Within The Bat! ( [ritlabs.com...] ) one can make as many address books as one wants.

Ragger - welcome to WebmasterWorld.

i checked out ritlabs which may be OK apart from the money you have to pay!?!

but your words gave me an idea that has solved my problem...you said

"one can make as many address books as one wants"

well i did (almost) just that in outlook express. i created a new folder in the 'main identities contacts' address book and voila, the new contacts do not appear in the main contacts. therefore i can keep them all seperate.

thanks.
