We have a few websites that have an absolute code in the CSS which causes the site to cache badly in the Search Engines.

The question is that these are the sites that are flucuating up and down in Yahoo on a daily basis. Our sites that do not have this code in the CSS are not flucuating.

Could this absolute position code, which caches badly in the search engine rankings be causing the flucuation in the SERP's

No -- the cache is just a copy of the page for visual review, it's not involved with the index itself. You can rank beautifully and not even allow your page in the cache.

Thanks,

I thought that was the case, and it didn't really make sence as a solution, but so far it is the only thing different between the sites that are ranking well and the websites that are flucuating greatly.
