Error opening chm file, please help

Hi there,

When I try to open a chm file I get an error message saying “cannot open the file.

Chm files are Compiled HTML Help files and many applications use them as help files where all the functionality of application is described.

I need to read this help fine of one application.

Do you know a quick solution how to fix this problem.

My computer runs Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2.

Right click on the chm file and choose "Open With" -- selecting a text reader if one shows in your list, or "Choose Program" if not - again selecting the text reader of your choice.

See if hh.exe on Windows will open it or

Google - open chm file - first 8 results have different answers.
