IE Only - New US Copyright Preregistration

Can they really be serious?

The US Goverment is about to require IE for preregistering copyrights. Electronic preregistration is the only option:

[copyright.gov...]

Short and sweet:

"Today's notice seeks information as to whether persons filing the
electronic-only preregistration form prescribed by the Copyright
Office will experience difficulties if it is necessary to use
Microsoft's Internet Explorer web browser in order to preregister a
work."

I've written them a letter (they only accept paper letters that arrive before August 22, 2005).
