How do you guys know if your website works in some older browsers? do you have to actually go to different computers that have older browser versions an try it out there? or is it possible to have installed multiple versions of the same browser on one computer?

It is possible to install multiple versions of many browsers. I prefer to use the latest versions of the browsers. There are many good discussions about this topic around here.

There is a [I think relatively new] site that will output screen shots of any URL in a number of browser/OS combinations

Check it out at: [browsershots.org ]
