IE - all pages are trusted

how to fix?

Basically everything is in the topic. When entering any page on the internet it automatically gets the "trusted" status making my "trusted" security settings default. This does not really bug me much (I don't have any trusted pages, rarely use IE and made my trusted settings more severe), but I'm looking for a solution (the green icon in the status bar annoys me pretty much).

My trusted list is empty (at least that's what IE tells me) if that would be Your solution to the problem.

Do You know how to fix that?

Have your tried returning to the Default settings? Since you haven't entered anything on your Trusted List, I'd think it shouldn't be a problem.

My feeling is that the IE security options are extremely knotted up and I can't untangle them very well, especially since SP2. Like you, I rarely use IE for general browsing. When I do, I just take care where I click and I try to use the simplest settings I feel I can afford to. Those custom settings for Trusted Sites are particular obtuse.

The problem is: I don't know where is "The Big Red Button" for all IE settings. I can reset my security level for trusted/normal/etc. pages but that does nothing for me. I can reset my advanced settings but that just sets a few flags in the registry and that isn't the issue either.

I did'n tell You what I'm running on (Your post about SP2 reminded me of that).
IE 6.0
Windows 98 SE (without SPs)

Any other solutions?... Please?...
