Anyone even use Teoma?

I havent seen any advertising for teoma anywheres..

On a "major" search word I hold 12 of the first 40 positions !(all different web sites) and receive literally just a handful of hits everyday from from teoma and ask combined daily ! LOL

seriously..anyone using them ?

Naturally ..I like them for placement ..but geez thats really sad results...

will the future brighten for them ?

Google had a slow start too. Im still interested in watching teoma.

I use it often. Mostly when I'm looking for broader topics. The benefit is that it is so easy to use with that 'refine results' option.

yes they do, obviously most people on this forum use it, for what ever reason, Teoma, has been claimed to be the fastest growing SE in the world, obviously from small beginnings, but don't write it off.

I am seeing a few hits from Teoma across several sites. Up from zero.

Even more referrals are coming from AskJeeves. Ask seems to be gaining a following and it is fed by Teoma's DB. So both are gaining users.

It is nice to see some SE's actually gaining users instead of loosing them.

I agree with Brett I am using it more for broad terms. I am also recommending it more and more to people.

I would really like to see Teoma added to Fast and Google as an optional engine on the Opera browser integrated search form. I would use it a lot more then.

I wish people used Teoma a lot. Due to what is apparently some bug at Google, I am out of the Google index for the next month and my site is dying. :( My site ranks *extremely* well on Teoma. Better than it did at Google. I even have the number 1 spot for a search on the trademark of a product over the maufacturer! I'm doing so well on all my keywords at Teoma it is positively obscene.

I just checked my logs. All of 2 hits from Teoma this month. Wheee! I had 1800+ hits from Google this month, before Google mercilessly dropped my site in the bit bucket. :( If those stats don't show how unpopular Teoma is, I can't imagine anything more compelling.

Askjeeves (which uses the Teoma database), seems much more popular. 37 hits this month from that. Still low, but a lot more than Teoma.

I have recently paid for ink submission for a load of sites (homepage only), and then I find out it may have found me anyway, and would have spidered all the pages as opposed to just the ones I pay for. Is the same true of Teoma, should I just sit back and wait?

Most sites we work with now get traffic from Teoma. No more than 15 referrals/month for even the largest sites but for a number of them it does seem to increase each month 1, 2, 4, 5 referrals.

The DB seems kinda stale, they don't seem to update it all that often but I use the Teoma Tool Bar when I don't find what I'm looking for in Google.

that's my observation for our sites as well...but then I see that often for many sites that have us listed with old page name and description...guess that's the norm for many sites and databases...but then...I am still in the observation and learning stage of this game...
