For loads of 2-3 keyword searches I'm getting:

example :-

"We found no matches for your search Iowa Car Dealers"

[teoma.com...]

Any one seeing this?

That's a new one for me too.

I also got recently an email that said Ask Jeeves was having problems with their pay for inclusion...any takers on whether or not these issues are integrated?

Scared the heck outta me! I typed in the name of our store and no results! So then I noticed this thread, I'm glad it was not just us!

Searches at AJ look normal. Do they have a seperate cache of the Teoma db? or is it just that Teoma's SE is in state of denial. LOL

The SERPS are coming now, but i think they have reverted back to the previous update, as the results seem out of whack, certianly for terms, that i keep an eye on.

I've seen that once before, on June 19th. That time, the "alternative results" were identical to the Direct Hit results available at MSN and Hotbot. AskJeeves was similarly affected at the time.

I didn't find this thread soon enough to see what the alternative results were this time, but the lack of results for multi-word searches would be consistant with Direct Hit. The more complex the search terms are, the less likely it is that DH has accumulated enough data to make recommendations.

The thread about the June 19 incident: [webmasterworld.com...]

Back then, I thought maybe Teoma was trying to integrate DH into their system. Now, I'm thinking DH is just the fallback they go to when the regular database is down.

Yes, that's it. I've seen this happen twice before and seems to last about 4 or 5 hours. I have terrific ranking on the old DH db and everytime this happens, I get all excited that Teoma/Jeeves has moved me to the top - LOL
