I hate Freakin’ Mayonnaise

A simple task like buying sandwiches becomes my eternal nightmare. All but one of around 200 sandwiches had flaming mayonnaise on them. The other day I was pleased to see a sandwich that was called “simply chicken”. Fantastic I thought, but out of suspicion I checked the ingredients only to discover that “simply chicken” contains mayonnaise with black pepper. I wrote to the makers and pointed out my problem and their misleading packaging. I got a full apology, £5 and a promise that it would be passed onto their branding dept.

Add to that monkeys at restaurants who successfully omit the mayonnaise only to add coleslaw, which if I am not mistaken is made with f’in mayonnaise.

Anyhow, I don’t expect you to care or for this post to make it onto the front page on WebmasterWorld I just wanted to complain to the world at large

Well actually i found out in malaysia of all places, that there is one thing better than mayo with your french fries, thats mayo mixed with chilli for your french fries, thats make heaven for mee, and a few ekstra pounds.
Im happy wee dont diskuss the awfull habit some cultures have about using ketchup;)

Currently I am on a diet so I try to avoid mayo...certain sandwiches would benefit from it. Such as my chicken club last night...so dry without you.

I have learned to replace it with mustard... my fav is some organic wasabi mustard, so good.

Now back to the mayo, toss a bit of wasabi in that and mix it up, add tuna and other tuna salad ingredients and you have a "spicy tuna salad". Throw that on a sheet of nori(seaweed) and you have a weird sandwich that tastes pretty good and has way less carbs then if it was on bread.

What is it with curry sauce on chips? I have never tried it hear mixed reviews.

Also for chips/fries I am a big fan of the malt vinegar and some salt.

That's nothing, I've seen some establishments offering deep fried mars bars, which is just plain wrong.

Chips/fries with cheese melted on top, mayo, ketchup and if you can fit them in baked beans as well.

Damn I am hungry right now!

Deep fried mars bars are damm fine, i love em. :)

Mayonnaise on the other hand makes me vomit as does salad cream.

How many times i've found myself in Ukgimp's situation, desparately trying to find sandwich without it, i cant tell you becuase i lose count.

Its almost as annoying as for asking for a plain burger without any relish, sauce or salad of any kind, and receiving a burger, minus meat and plus ten tonnes of rabbit food. Why cant these people cater for those of us with "specific" dietary requirements?

Id be quiote happy to see mayonnaise wiped of the face of the earth! ;)

And we thought DMOZ-bashing was rampant. I never knew there was latent mayo-bashing at WebmasterWorld, just waiting for ukgimp to open the floodgates. :)

werty,

I think I've tried a deep fried Twinky or two... if I remember correctly, it was given to me by a homeless man.
