Was it that easy or are you that good?

Ok, next try:

How many cookies can you eat on an empty stomach?

Edam? MADE <> EDAM

>How many cookies can you eat on an empty stomach?

OK - this is one of my favorite Maths puzzles:

1 1 1 = 6
2 2 2 = 6
3 3 3 = 6
4 4 4 = 6
5 5 5 = 6
6 6 6 = 6
7 7 7 = 6
8 8 8 = 6
9 9 9 = 6
10 10 10 = 6

Using any (within reason - no fancy theorems please!) mathematical operator, make all the above statements true.

EG: 2 + 2 + 2 = 6

Have Fun!

What about Perl operators, would that be ok? :)

(1+1+1)! = 6
2+2+2 = 6
3*3-3 = 6
[square root]4+[square root]4+[square root]4 = 6
5/5+5 = 6
6*6/6 = 6
7-7/7 = 6
8-[square root]([square root](8+8)) = 6
[square root](9*9)-[square root]9 = 6
(0!+0!+0!)! = 6

no square root character :(

Factorial
[mathforum.org...]

(1+1+1)! = 3x2x1 = 3!
also the factorial of 0 is 1.
(I hate 0 by the way)
like figuring the odds of the lottery.

BTW I can't do 10 10 10 = 6 whats the answer to that?

For 10 10 10 = 6

Using logs to the base of 10:

[square-root](([inverse-tan] (log 10)) - (10 - (log 10))) = 6

Another solution for 10 10 10 = 6,

(log 10 + log 10 + log 10)! = 6

Hey all,

Apologies for getting back to this so late - but Korkus is on the button! Most people have difficulty with the factorial solutions (1 and 10), and go2 spot on using log to the base 10 for the three tens!

Nice going!
