Forum Moderators: open
searchstatus 1.15 - displays pagerank and alexa ranking
roboform - fills in forms/stores passwords (paid)
gmail manager - allows you to manage multiple gmail accounts and shows their status, also alerts you when you get new mail.
split link - supposedly shows you where a redirect link actually redirects you. If I really need to trace soemthing I use HTTP watch and open it in IE
IE Tab - allows you to open IE windows in firefox, good for adcenter
Duplicate tab - allows you to duplicate the current tab to a new tab or window and keeps the history
colorful tabs - ads some color to multiple tabs, a small but helpful change
tabbrowser preferences - control over tab usage, open tab in new window, merge tabs from open windows
bugmenot - fills some registration things with accounts other people created, good for newspaper sites
user agent switch - self explanitory
del.icio.us - portable bookmarking
sage - rss reader
ie view - launches the site in an IE browser
web developer - allows you to turn of css /java etc
pearl crescent page saver - allows you to capture the entire webpage (including things you have to scroll down to) as a png file.
What are your favorite firefox plugins?
Synchronize bookmarks was another goodie, but not sure if it got updated yet.
I have a real knack for installing EVERY one I come accross and then screwing FF up beyond all recognition where about 3/4 of 'em work:)
Some of these save a ton of time though doing simple research stuff.

sometimes one bogs everything up.. but so far have managed to update most of the relegated ones myself if updates are not automatic.. also might be time for a spring clean as I've either forgotten some of them or maybe it's just that I use them so much I expect them to be there?
Coop, is this one any good?

ScrapBook - very handy at capturing pages and adding notes & or highlights for later reference (captures as a web page so links and everything still work, great for keeping track of SERP's)
Search Engine Ordering - organize engines in the list as well as add ANY sites search to the bar
Html Validator - lets me see with a glance at the status bar if my pages validate
SpellBound - Very handy!
Tab Mix Plus - best tab enhancer IMHO
TargetAlert - no more surprise PDF, email or download links. Also can show which links are labeled rel=nofollow
Web Developer - a billion tools in one!
Mouse Gestures - I didn't think I'd like this at first, now I'm lost in IE, these make everything just a bit faster
ReloadEvery is one I like a lot.
Google PageRank status, of course.
Redirect Remover.
Man, it took Flashblock long enough to show-up in the thread - I couldn't surf the net without it.
dreamcatcher, I seen that one but wasn't quite what I was hoping for. There is one called "Cache View" that used to be freeware but is now shareware. Google that search phrase and you'll find it. I see another extension but it is so new I hesitate to install it:

I guess I'm just not as brave as SuzyUK ;)
Pearl Crescent Page Saver - Really slick. Takes full page screenshots and saves as .png file.
Auto Copy - Must have.
ColorZilla - Really nice to have.
Context Hightlight
Vertigo - Must have for me. (Reduced width to minimum, which is 50px or so.) At least one of my other extensions make Vertigo scrollable. Love it.
All-in-one-Gestures - Handy; once you learn the gestures that you'll be using. I taped a list on the side of my box, forced myself to be diligent in use, and picked it up fast.
View Source Chart - Don't use it much, but nice to have.
Firesomething- Fun. Deleted defaults and customized.
Yellowpipe Lynx Viewer Tool
Theme
Aluminum Kai
Here's my current list:
* ScrapBook
* Download Statusbar
* Live HTTP Headers
* Web Developer
* LastTab
* Slashdotter
* Adblock Plus
* Adblock Filterset.G Updater
* History Menu
* Leak Monitor
The sheer breadth of customization you can apply to Firefox has to be one of its best features.
WellRounded - This is a look-and-feel kind of thing.; It adds rounded edges to the location bar, search bar, find bar, and all manor of other toolbars on your browser.
BB Code - Adds BBCode/HTML/XHTML formating to the context menu for forums like www.webmasterworld.com. I can not stress how usefull this is if you post much on forums.
User Agent Switcher - There are many uses for this: 1) When sites won’t let you do something unless you are using IE 2) Impersonate googlebot to see cloaking and get access to sites that require you to be logged in. Impersonating googlebot does not always work but sometimes it does.
Print Image - Adds “Print Image…” when you right click on one.
Roboform - You can only get this extension if you buy Roboform. I love it. It keeps track of all my passwords for me. It can even generate passwords.
Web Developer - I had heard about this one for a long time and it is awsome. I use the disable javascript and resize the most

Coop me not brave, if it's already broken I can't do it much more harm ;)
fangs for instance still works with a manual adjustment to the version number as do many others
