I haven't done anything remotely database-related since i was at school. I understand primary keys, foreign keys and repeating groups. But can someone please explain how to work with Normalisation. I know that it's an algorithm for sorting data into databases but apart from that i'm clueless.
Could someone explain (in idiots terms) what the stages 1NF, 2NF + 3NF are all about?
Any examples would be helpful. Thanks
