Hi, can anyone offer any advice.

We have a school website that is currently built utilising a text editor called 'Textease'.

We are looking to have a more seo optimised site and looking at different options. I myself have used Microsoft Expression 2 with some success. Someone else has suggested building the website using Wordpress (which I have limited experience of).

We will need some form of CMS in terms of updating weekly Newletters, Sports Results and events etc.

Any pros and cons of XHTML vs Wordpress and also what CMS to utilise either with Expression 2 or any others that would be suggested. Ideally we want to upload content with staff that have very basic IT skills.

Thanks in advance.
ps (we could of course stay with our current system)

XHTML vs Wordpress

This isn't an either or. XHTML is a markup language. Wordpress is a CMS that can run websites in any major flavor of (X)HTML. It's a little like asking whether I would recommend diesel fuel or a pickup truck.

So my question to you would be what's wrong with your current system? In other words, what problem are you hoping to solve?
