Competitor issue - advice needed

i recently started up a site thats mainly just for fun but i have a competitor busting my balls leaving me annoying comments on my posts. The comments have to be approved so they arent posting, but i have been thinking about either banning him or serving him up an alternate page. any ideas of what i should do to toy with him?

some background -
it is a blog site on a niche topic and the competitor runs 2 sites in the same niche which are virtually the same, with the same themes and everything, just shifts his posts around and obviously has no idea what he's doing. my site has been up for less than a month and im pretty sure i'm getting about the same traffic as him already for being up for over a year.

so what should i do to have some fun?

Maybe you could do some mod_rewrite stuff to redirect his IP to his own website.

You could also set up a page with an announcement that you are closing your site (make sure it is disallowed in robots.txt), and redirect your competitor to it ;)

What would really be funny is if you could "cloak" your pages so that his comments would only be shown to his IP address. He might start to wonder why nobody ever responds to his comments. However, that's a lot of effort to go through for such a minor gag.

Yeah, there are lots of programs like that. They are called "cloaking software". We don't mention product names on this forum, or I'd give some recommendations, but you can check out popular cloaking software packages on the dmoz Cloaking category [dmoz.org]
