Flash redirecton of JS redirection

Hi all,

I'm new to cloaking and i saw that you basicly have 2 types of redirection while cloaking.

You have Flash redirection and JavaScript redirection. But wich is better?

Please advice..

I'm not sure what you mean by Flash redirection... do you mean an actual Flash applet?

Actually, most cloaking scripts I know of do not use "redirection". Instead, they use LWP or Curl to grab the landing page and display it under the cloaked URL. In my opinion, you should try to stay away from redirection, because you don't want the URL to change.

Well... At the moment i'm testing the demo of Phantom Cloaker to see how it works.

This script has two types of redirection.
you can choose between redirecton via Flash of via JavaScript.

It's not that you will see the original URL first, but you're being redirected directly.

Besides this i've no idea what are good cloaking scripts. I'm also looking at buying the script of searchenginecloaker.com

Well, the Forum Charter [webmasterworld.com] prevents us from doing product reviews or comparisons, but I'd stay away from any product that uses a redirect.

Both of the methods of redirection you mentioned can be disabled simply by changing the preferences in your browser. For instance quite a few people (myself included) typically surf with JavaScript disabled.

Allright... Your point is clear to me, but just one last question...

If it's not allowed to discuss the different programs, then how are you able to know witch program is good, and witch program is just a scam?

I don't know of any major cloaking software programs that are "scams". I suggest you find ones that offer money-back guarantees or demos and try them for yourself. There are many out there, and they have different features. Find the one that is best for you.
