We had someone managing our site and they were abusing our pagerank to raise pagerank on non-related sites without our permission. We took action and now as retribution he has created obviously cloaked pages and pointed them to our domain. Is this going to cause a problem for me since I don't link back?

It depends on how they have cloaked the pages. It may be an attempt to have your site penalised for using cloaking techniques. Whether you link back or not will have no effect on the result of the cloaking.

I would get whoever was managing your site to remove those pages immediately. Mention legal proceedings!

That will normally get whatever you need doing done.

I don't think you'll have any problems. Maybe you'll get some traffic from it.

Apologies augury if I may have given you the wrong information. Your man here knows his stuff.

My post was based on personal experience. I have had 2 sites banned/penalised for cloaking. I really thought if you got caught that was the end of it. Ok, so my sites were 1000's of doorway pages and utilised various redirects and the like. I was told, however, that my sites were banned for 'cloaking'.

Best of luck
