Cloaking & GEO targeting

cloaking for the use of geo targeting

I wonder if Googleguy and Yahoo (I can't remember the new nick) have an opinion on cloaking in regards to GEO targeting. Not for the sake of deceiving anyone but for delivering up appropiate ads. For instance delivering Ebay.uk affiliate ads to UK surfers while US based see Ebay.com. This of course while keeping everything else the same.

Comments?

Well those SEs certainly make use of geotargeting themselves, if that's any indication of their opinions.

but there is always the cliche

"do as I say not as I do"

Sure would love to hear from Googleguy on this

I don't see it as being a problem

they also say that geo targetting isn't cloaking, pretty fine line if there is one but a distinction all the same.

Thanks guys... I was hoping that would be the consensus... It's just that you never know when you trip over that invisible fine line.
