hi,

my site uses a session id for every visitor, and i cannot remove the session id's as my site will not function as i want it if i do.

however, i have managed to create a code to check if the HTTP USER AGENT is googlebot etc.. if it is any of the user agents in the list then my site will not display any session id's at the end of the URL.

would this be classified as cloaking? any comments appreciated.

Many web sites require user registration, whereas they freely allow Googlebot to crawl as many pages as possible.

As long as your pages look exactly the same to both visitors and Googlebot you are safe.

I agree with d_fused over here. As long as both the visitors and googlebot see the same stuff it's ok.
