I'd love to have a front main page that is simply text of what is in the flash, then have it redirect to the REAL main page with flash.
But if I use javascript to do that will I be penalized for cloaking or redirecting?
A certain famous site that sells videos of bums fighting each other has a splash page with text on it that appears in the google search, but when you go there, it takes you to the main flash driven page.
How can I do this and not run afoul of google?
Thanks!
If the html-pages show the same as the flash-version it would be ok from an ethical point of view. But as long as GoogleBot can't determine if the flash content is the same as the html-content he suggested to have both versions on the site and visible for both users and bots.
