Cloaking vs SE algo changes

Why I am cloaking here...

I may be a newbie in SEO but since i've been using a cloaking script in the past 2 weeks or so i think i'm allowed to discuss this rather "touchy" point here...

I've been maybe starting with the wrong market but the first 2 sites i need to list very high in the SEs are in the Adult and Real Estate fields, 2 very competitive markets where cloaking is present a lot and without cloaking you almost don't stand a chance.

The main reason for me to use a cloaking script is not to spam the SEs but rather to protect my code so that the page that most of you will see will NOT be the page that i used to list those sites with.

For those unfamiliar with IP Delivery cloaking well just like it was explained here in many earlier posts, cloaking scripts have a list of IP addresses of SE's spiders and when a visitors arrives at your site the script looks at his IP address and if it has the IP Address 64.68.82.69 then it means that it is... Googlebot 2.1.

Then the script simply redirects the spider to the highly optimized page and if it doesn't have an IP listed in the IP List then he will be redirected that person the "normal people" page with less kws in it.

I personally don't have anything against that type of script because it's a way to protect a webmaster source code against code jackers that will copy it, change 4-5 words and outrank you with the work that may have cost you many 100s of $ in PFI pages and countless hrs of work cracking algo by algo that SE to be finally in it's TOP 10.

To me the REAL problem comes from the fact that SEs seems to prefer going after cloakers that are spamming with kw stuffing rather than setting their algos in a way that would reject for example a page that is higher in kw density than 10%.

At 10% kw density or higher, it means that the kw is repeated almost on every line of text on the page which shoun't make any seens at all to normal people when you read it and JUST RIGHT THERE... an alarm should ring and the spider should reject and send that page to some human reviewer to see what's going on here WAY BEFORE that page is indexed in their db.

At the beginning they would receive a ton of pages but after a short while, wms will soon found out that they always almost have those pages rejected and stop submittin that crappy type of page and i would be the first to celebrate. ;-)

So am i spamming you might say? Well sadly, i must answer yes and that's really a shame here but i have no choice. On many keywords i'm targeting, you will find sites with incredible Titles with 3 times the main kw in them and 4-5 times in the site description.

If you scroll down you will see that the less kws you have in the Title/Description/Body tags the lower the site gets listed so the number of kws in the Title keeps going up and up and up and we end up having to spam our pages in a ridiculous way to be listed #1.

This way, if you can figure out that to be listed #1 you would need just 1 kw in the title, 2 in your long descrition, 3 alt tags, 505 words in the page (not 504 or 506 here) with 5 links pointing out then my friend you would deserve not only the Top spot but also the right to use a cloaking scripts to protect your code and what you've found and if you just can't manage to crack that SE's algos then you can say bye bye to the Top 10 hehe.

Whether i (and many other SEOs i'm sure) like it or not, we are spamming because if we don't add that extra kw in that Title/Description/Body tags then we can say to our clients to forget also about the TOP 10.

The day SEs will start to delete at the crawling source the pages that are stuffed with kws those kind of stupid Title/Description, will be the day wms stop using that stupid technique and go back to build more normal and readable Titles and web pages it's as simple as that.

You can say whatever you want, we simply give what SEs wants here  since the higher the kw density in those 2 segments are, the higher they lists us (things that make you go hhhmmm hey ;-) hehehe) and until they block our weird pages at the source then wms like me will continue to send them our crappy pages that means nothing when you read them so that our clients can be listed #1 here...

Yup... it's sad but it's true :-D

In conclusion, i would like to talk about what i consider a real "unethical and stupid" way to use cloaking and that is when you cloak a page filled with hot kws like sex, mp3, porn, Iraq (or whatever hot kws people are searching these days) in order to attract more traffic to your... Mountain bikes web site!

Now THAT my friends is pushing it way to far here and they deserve the boot.

Overall, i'm sure that most wms here uses cloaking to protect their source code rather then just spamming the SEs and if they boost their spam filter, we'll be the first to say "good job"...

...and now GoogleGuy, print this msg and send a photocopy to all your algo engineers in the shop. Maybe...just maybe they will get it ;-)

Just 2 cents here ;-)

"...At 10% kw density or higher, it means that the kw is repeated almost on every line of text ..."

Not true.
If you have a page with many images and little text, density can be high, even if KW are not repeated often.

Yeah, i know what you mean but then again, the algos can be improved so that if all you have in a page is kws inside alt tags, then it could tolerate a higher amount of kw density.

You could also have the system remove all those alt tags for a second just to see what would be the kw density after that and if it is still higher than 10% then you'll know that they are spamming.

Anyway, you know what i mean...

Hey, we may not be spider engineers but i'm sure we could come up with a dozen ways to improve Google's algos in just a few hours drinking beer and watching football ;-) and the funny part is that i'm dead serious here!
