be a search engine when looking at web pages?

The only other way is IP spoofing which is not only very illegal but also very difficult.

Just do a search on Google. Look at the link that say: "Cached". If you click at that link you will se what Google saw spidering the page.

Thanks, that's great!
I've been looking at a page that uses cold fusion.
I found it on there and it looks the same as always--
I think they change their meta tags "on the fly".
Could cold fusion be used for this and would it
cause good rankings? I've been trying to figure this out
for weeks.

I believe that most serverbased processing will do that but it won't give you better rankings. It's just a way of administrating your website.

Good rankings is achieved with a good knowladge of SEs. Cloaking just makes it eaier to taget specific engines and hide your uptimized code for normal users. Thats all. The rest is hard work :)
