Inbound Links To Cloaked Pages

Hi,

I was hoping for a little advice..I'm starting to try and build lots of inbound links for one of my pages so as to score better under my SE search term...I was wondering if anyone here knew if the best option would be to get link partners to link directly to my optimised cloaked page? and get the cloaked page's PR up. It is currently PR3.

& Slightly of subject...

My top competitor for this keyword has 97 links in on google information, should I be looking to double this amount to get top spot?

Cheers,

Mike

I would not get link partners to link directly to your cloaked pages, that's a big no-no. The URL to those pages will get indexed directly, there will be no point cloaking them then.

I don't know how your script is setup, but the real page and the cloaked page should have the same URL, that way links to that URL count all the way around.

It's not so much the number of links that helps your ranking, but the "quality" of the sites linking to you and the category you're vying for.
