Stupid Question?

Don't know anything about cloaking.

What would happen if you served up a different page based upon the browser supporting frames using asp? One page for browsers with frame support...another for browsers without.

Is this even cloaking?

I think I would refer to that more as browser sniffing, it is a very common practice.

It is good for serving different dhtml or css but I wouldn't actually call it cloaking. It is a technique that is/can be incorporated into cloaking but does not define the practice alone.

I would also suggest that if you have a frames and no frames version that you only use the frameless one.
