I'm not sure if I am in the correct area with my question, so please feel free to redirect me. I have a URL with a PR4 that I want to use with a different site. The new site will be a totally different topic than the old one and I don't want web browsers to see the old URL in the address bar as it would not be germaine to the new topic. Is there an easy way to implement this? I could even live with having a slogan appear in the address bar if that's possible. Would any of this affect the Google PR? This is all new to me and I have read so much material that I have confused myself. Would really appreciate your assistance. Thanks a lot.

PR is tied to the URL. It is calculated by analyzing the links that point to a URL. Also, the PR is affected by whether the pages those links are on are themed similarly to your page.

If you change the topic of the page, it might affect PR. If you move it to another URL, then it will start fresh with a new PR.
