Hi all
I am new user. I am studying about how I can create a good doorway page. So, I think the best way I should study from the web sites that are NO.1 in search engine. Unfortunately, I could not find those doorway pages because they are using cloaking technique.

1. Could you tell me how I could find the doorway page of a web site that is using cloaking technique.
2. Normally, the doorway pages should link with the real page, If that web site is using cloaking technique. Can I use the command at google.com or Altavista.com to find the link to those doorway pages. "Google: link:www.mydomainname.com" and " altavista: link: www.mydomain name.com"
3. If the doorway page is using cloaking technique and I know the URL of those pages such as http:mydomain.com and I use key word " the best". So, The URL of doorway page should be "
http:www.mydomain.com/the_best.htm". If I type that URL, will the doorway page be shown or not?

Thank you very much

Well, the whole idea behind cloaking is that you cannot see the optimized page. There really is no good method to see it, if the usual holes have been plugged.

You can try looking at the page using the AltaVista translate feature and see what you get, also check the page on google and see if there is a "cache" link, if there is, try it and see if the cloaked page is revealed.

You can also try one of the agent spoofers, there is one HERE [cgi-fun.hypermart.net] built by one of our moderators- "littleman", use an agent of one of the major spiders an see if you can get the hidden page.

None of these methods will work though if the script, and the user of it, have taken the recommended precautions against these methods.

None of the methods you describe will reveal the cloaked page either, when you click on any link for a page presented to you in response to a search or a "link" command, the page you see is whatever the person cloaking wants you to see.

You may get lucky though, maybe the person cloaking got a little sloppy and you'll get to see the optimized page(s).
