Somebody goofed up, changed the code around and we had accidentally marked all our pages as NOINDEX for about four days before we noticed it. I had looked at Google results last night and realized we had fallen off the map! Not page 2 or 3 but nowhere to be found!

I then realized the pages were all set to NOINDEX,NOFOLLOW

I found the problem and fixed it. Now it's INDEX,FOLLOW again

I then went back to Google Webmaster Tools and refetched the site. I also posted a few links on social media. Is there anything else I can do? Is Google pretty forgiving about this or does it cause confusion at all? So strange that it fall so fast within the 4 days the wrote meta data was on there.

I have found it helps to get changes noticed if I use the fetch as Google tools in GSC (including the "Submit to Index" part) and also resubmit a sitemap.
