Worth Getting a Big Ad on Ask

Had a sales rep on the phone offering me a price on getting a very large listing at the top of the search results,
The numbers aren't as good as getting the clicks via google but it will give a much better brand awareness due to images being placed and so forth.

Has anyone experience of these ads, are they worth the quite substantial up-front price?

Any great price determination for an ad must take into account whether there are lots of eyeballs seeing the
ad. As that relates to your Q, my personal confidence level would be rather low, but maybe that's just me.
