AJ is fond of quoting percentages as it shows their business in a better light.
Here are some more figures, some from their recently released 8K form:
Revenues for the quarter ended March 31, 2004 were $39.2 million. These
first quarter results represent 73 percent growth over revenues of
$22.7 million for the comparable year-ago quarter.

Revenues for the quarter ended December 31, 2003 were $31.8 million. These fourth quarter results represent 58 percent growth over revenues of $20.2 million for the comparable year-ago quarter.

So, revenue growth for Q4 2002 and Q1 2003 was fairly low, a growth of $2.5 Million. This is the low year over year hurdle AJ is comparing itself to.
Quarter over quarter growth is $7.4 million.

Ask Jeeves reported a more than 50 percent increase in profits in the first quarter on the strength of its paid search listings partnership with Google.
Google accounted for 65 percent of Ask Jeeves' revenue. The companies' U.S. distribution agreement runs through September 2005, though either party can terminate it as early as this September. Industry analysts estimate Ask Jeeves commands as much as 80 percent of the money generated from the listings.
80%!
He said Ask Jeeves would continue to work with Google and independently to deliver better ad targeting to increase the 15 percent of search queries that result in clicks on advertiser listings.
Useful stat there for paid advertsiers.
I did a form submission and this is AJ's email response:

Hey Jeeves, having a formmail that doesn't work is a sad commentary on your website and your business.
You get a failing score for Website 101.
